For simplicity's sake, Instead of typing out Akkrat VS the former 50/50 members I am just going to refer to them as their new group name Ablume.

Ablume's Company announces legal action

The parent company of Ablume's new company, NS enm (formerly named IOK Company), has announced they will be taking legal action against things such as malicious comments and slander against the girls.

This is their full statement:
“Hello, this is NS enm (formerly IOK Company). First of all, we would like to express our gratitude to those who support our artists. We would like to share our company's stance regarding the recent malicious comments and indiscriminate slander on the internet.Through continuous monitoring, we are constantly taking legal action against malicious slander, comments, personal attacks, and the spreading of false information aimed at our artists.Indiscriminate slander and the spreading of false information against our artists are clear criminal acts, and as these actions severely damage the reputation of our artists, we plan to respond without leniency under any circumstances. We kindly ask that you refrain from excessive and malicious slander, and respect the dignity of others as human beings.”

I'm personally happy to hear this because despite the fact that the girls are pretty loved overseas, they get a lot of heat in Korea.

AKKRAT filed another 20 billion won lawsuit

AKKRAT has announced that they will be filing a 20 billion won lawsuit against the former CEO of Warner Music Korea Jin Seungyoung.

20 billion won is around 14.5 million USD.

The reason for this is because they are accusing both him and Sun Hyonggeun, current CEO of Warner Music Korea, for tampering. They are claiming both parties met with the parents of Ablume on May 12 2023 to persuade them to have their children leave AKKRAT and join them. They also claim they have evidence of this.

AKKRAT is also claiming that the amount of money they caused in damages is much greater than 20 billion won and they will be increasing the amount of money they are suing all the parties for (Ablume, WMK, the former song producers, etc) in the future.

Here is a full statement from the AKKRAT CEO :
The illegal acts of interfering with the normal activities of the former members of Fifty Fifty, caused enormous damage to the company. I believe that the act of a branch of Warner Music, one of the world’s top three record labels, attempting to rob a valuable artist from a small-scale Korean entertainment company is an unforgivable and shameless act. The actual amount of damages is higher, and we plan to initially claim 20 billion won and increase the amount in the future."

Meanwhile, a few months ago Ablume filed a lawsuit against AKKRAT for 300M KRW to prove to the courts that the amount of money lost was actually no where near 20 billion won and AKKRAT is lying about the amount of damages.

300M KRW is around 217,000 USD.

I am personally on the girl's side that I think Akkrat is pulling this "20 billion won and more" dollar amount out of their ass and I hope the courts humble them on this.

Ablume is also going to re-debut soon, the girls have even posted pictures on social media that they are actively working on the album, so I am looking forward to that. The three girls are the ones who put in a ton of effort into making the english version of cupid after all (I know one of the two girls wrote the english lyrics for cupid and another girl made the choreography or something?)
