On the 18th, an official from Adore CEO Min said to this newspaper, "All New Jeans members submitted a petition to the court on the 17th. We understand that it means that CEO Min Hee-jin should not be dismissed."
Previously, the conflict between CEO Min and parent company Hive came to the surface. On the 17th, Civil Agreement Division 50 of the Seoul Central District Court held a hearing on a lawsuit filed by Adore CEO Min Hee-jin against Hive for a provisional injunction banning the exercise of voting rights. Adore is scheduled to hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on the 31st with the dismissal of CEO Min as the agenda. Hive owns 80% of Adore's shares, so if the request for a preliminary injunction is rejected, CEO Min's dismissal is almost certain.
Representative Min's side refuted the allegations of stealing management rights from Adore in court. It was also claimed that Hive discriminated against and neglected New Genes. Hive said, “The essence of the case is that CEO Min, who abandoned his duties as CEO and committed breach of trust due to his own self-interest, is requesting that the right of a legitimate creditor (Hive) be blocked by an unusual provisional injunction.”
Minji, Hani, Daniel Hae-rin, and Hye-in belong to New Jeans. The members are continuing their activities despite the conflict between Adore Min and Hive.
