MONDAY:
#1- On Monday, SM Entertainment took to Twitter (currently known as X) to announce that Jungmin would be withdrawing from the pre-debut NCT Japanese unit, NCT NEW TEAM due to health concerns. He will remain with SM Entertainment as a trainee while NCT NEW TEAM will now make its debut with 6-members.
TUESDAY:
#1- On Tuesday, we received a few comeback announcements! Lee Hyori, Jessi & LE SSERAFIM will all be making comebacks later this month! Lee Hyori will return with a digital single, 'HOODIE E BANBAJI' on the 12th of October, while Jessi & LE SSERAFIM will return on currently unspecified dates later this month. Are you looking forward to any of these upcoming releases?
WEDNESDAY:
#1- Filipina K-pop singer, Kriesha Chu looks like she'll be coming back to the Kpop scene very soon. It's just been announced that she's signed a contract with New Way Company. We look forward to all of her future activities under new management!
#2- Johnny's & Associates has announced that they will be officially changing their name to SMILE-UP. This comes following the massive public backlash following the revelation of Johnny Kitagawa's actions as a sexual predator throughout his 30+ year career as the head of Johnny's & Associates. Also this week, it was revealed that over 400 people had filed formal complaints against Johnny Kitagawa reporting that they had been abused by the entertainment mogul. Former Kiss-My-Ft2 member, Iida Kyouhei later revealed that he had not quit the band for educational reasons as he had originally stated, but rather that he had suffered from abuse at the hands of Kitagawa between the ages of 13 and 18.
THURSDAY:
#1- We had some more comeback announcements revealed on Thursday! HIGHLIGHT will be making their return on the 16th of October with the digital single, 'GIVE YOU MY ALL' just in time for the 14th anniversary. While BTS Jungkook & ENHYPEN will both be releasing new music in November. Jugkook will release his debut solo album, GOLDEN on the 3rd of November, while ENHYPEN will come back with new music on a currently unspecified date this November. Then in December, Hitsujibungaku & TVXQ will be making their return. Hitsujibungaku will return with their new album, 12 Hugs (Like Butterflies) on the 6th of September. Then, TVXQ will be commemorating their 20th anniversary with their 9th regular album, 20&2(20th Anniversary & 2 Members) on the 26th of December.
FRIDAY:
#1- Girls Day member, Sojin had some exciting news for us on Friday! It's been announced that the girl group member will be tying the knot with actor Lee Dong-ha in November. Then the following day, Laboum's Hae-in took to Instagram in order to announce her pregnancy and upcoming marriage. She has been dating a non-celebrity who she has known since she was 19. Similarly to Sojin, she will also be holding her marriage in November. We congratulate them both on their upcoming nuptials!
SATURDAY:
#1- LE SSERAFIM has unfortunately had to announce the cancellation of their October 7 & October 8 shows in Bangkok following three of the group members — Kazuha, Chaewon & Yunjin — being diagnosed with type A influenza. We hope they feel better soon!
#2- BTS member J-hope has just gained a new military achievement after he received the honorary title of 'special class warrior' this week! We congratulate him on his new achievement!
