LOONA, stylized as LOOΠΔ, (이달의 소녀 — ‘Girl of the Month’) is a South Korean girl group consisting of HaSeul, ViVi, Yves, JinSoul, Kim Lip, HyunJin, Go Won, HeeJin, Choerry, HyeJu, YeoJin, and originally Chuu. The members were revealed one by one predebut, were given each a solo single, and formed three sub-units: LOONA 1/3, ODD EYE CIRCLE, and LOONA yyxy. They debuted on August 19, 2018, with their first mini album, [+ +] under BlockBerry Creative. On November 25, 2022, it was announced that member Chuu was removed from the group. On January 13, 2023, it was revealed that JinSoul, Kim Lip, HeeJin, and Choerry had injuncted their contracts, and would be leaving BBC. HyunJin and ViVi injuncted their contacts on May 9, 2023. After winning their lawsuit against BlockBerry Creative, the remaining members, HaSeul, YeoJin, Yves, HyeJu, and Go Won, announced on June 16, 2023 that they had injuncted their contracts with the company.
